Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)
Level I - 12 hours (6 weeks)
The Level I non-DUI AOD Basic Education course consists of a 6 week, 12
hour series of classes designed with the following goals and
objectives:
- Increase clients' awareness of alcohol and drugs through an overview of historical use.
- Recognize the causes of cravings and urges.
- Understand how beliefs are developed that lead to problems resulting from behaviors
- Develop self-management skills and strategies
Level II - 24 hours (12 weeks)
The Level II non-DUI AOD Basic Education course consists of the 12 hours (6 weeks) Level I AOD Education classes plus an additional 12 hours of classes designed with the following goals and objectives:
- Increase clients' awareness of the physiological and psychological effects of alcohol and other drugs.
- Understand the processes of developing substance abuse and dependence.
- Teach clients how to change thinking, beliefs and behaviors that contribute to substance abuse
- Understand triggers and how to develop strategies to prevent lapse behaviors leading to recidivism
- Introduce interpersonal and social
skills that create positive relationship outcomes.
Level III - As required, often 36 hours (18 weeks)
The Level III non-DUI AOD Basic Education course consists of the Level I and Level II AOD Education classes followed by individual sessions as required.

Program Fee: $30.00 per session plus a one time $20.00 materials fee.
